How do I apply for a Blue Badge?

Local councils are responsible for issuing Blue Badge parking permits. Contact your council to apply for a Blue Badge.

The government, for the very good reason that we don't know you, and even if you were prepared to travel to the North East of England so that we could see you, we are not medically trained, and therefore would not be in a position to state whether you should qualify or not, we are therefore not the right organisation to oversee the issuing of these badges.

Since there are also several hundred local Social Services departments around the country who issue these badges, it is easier for you to find the address of yours than it is for us to do so, we do not carry the number for your area. We can advise, from your description of your condition, whether in our view you might qualify, but that is all.
