Britain now has a more diverse population than at any time in its history, but there’s one aspect of our society that will never change: in this country, fairness is everyone’s right.

A job with the Equality and Human Rights Commission is your chance to help make this country an even better place for us all to live.

This temporary post offers an opportunity to be involved in an innovative partnership between Disabled People, the Scottish Government and COSLA.  Based in the EHRC you will support disabled people, co-produce policies with key partners which promote the principles and practices of independent living; and develop the Independent Living Movement Scotland-wide, through networking and alliance building with other disabled people's organisations.

You will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of the barriers faced by disabled people; a sound administrative skills base; and knowledge of how policies and practices at local and national levels can be redesigned to promote equality and participation.
