Correction to information given in the July Edition of 'The Way Ahead'

The correction is in reference to the article VBRA.

Mike Dalton, the Motability advisor for Grimshaw Vauxhall, has advised us of an error as far as the qualification or otherwise of the £200 (we gave it as £250) bonus to non makers of claims during Motability contracts. The good condition payment is, firstly, only £200. Further, it is a discretionary payment which has other factors to take into account. Including serviced when due and returned within the contract mileage.

Mike also advises the following information:-
You may know that in a good number of instances, prospective claimants to the Royal Sun Alliance have the matter of extent of damage put under discussion to determine factors such as effect on vehicle driving, control and danger to other people. If damage is 'cosmetic' only then a 'live with it' attitude prevails!

When my examination of a vehicle at end of contract shows excessive 'Wear and Tear', then a 'No Claim' situation 'Reward' would be inappropriate, due to the damage! a minefield!!

Thanks Mike for putting us right on this matter.
