Mosaic Community Care
Mosaic Community Care offered a four week summer holiday play scheme for 40 children with special needs and disabilities between the ages of 5 and 17 on a site in Mawdelsey Lancashire. The programme was a great success and catered to children with a wide range of conditions including brittle bones, cerebral palsy, visual and hearing impairments, Epilepsy, Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. The scheme supported by Lancashire County Council and the extended services of the Children’s, Learning and Young Peoples Directorate was based on the inclusive play theory. It's child led play, inclusive service give the children flexibility, freedom to choose and personally develop through play and active participation in a safe and caring environment. |
