The Blue Badge Scheem in Northern Ireland is to allow people with a walking disability to park on-street, close to the facilities and services they need so as to improve their lifestyle, independence and freedom of choice.
 
3      Blue Badge Scheme - Scotland
The Blue Badge Scheme in Scotland is designed to help severely disabled people to travel independently, as either a driver or a passenger, by allowing them to park close to their destination.
 
4      Blue Badge Scheme - Wales
The Blue Badge Scheme was introduced in Wales on 1 July 2000. This badge is issued by Local Authorities Social Services Department.

Clued-in are running a programme of Mental Health Training Courses during September December 2009.

Clued in are running a very varied programme of courses in the mental health field beginning on the 22nd September with "Understanding Schizophrenia" and ending on Tuesday the 15th December with "Mental Health and Work Place Support" with a good range of other courses in between. The Blue Badge Scheme provides a range of parking concessions for people with severe mobility problems who have difficulty using public transport. This enables badge holders to park close to where they need to go. The scheme operates throughout the UK.

Inclusion Scotland (IS) is a consortium of organisations of disabled people and disabled individuals. Through a process of structured development we aim to draw attention to the physical, social, economic, cultural and attitudinal barriers that affect our everyday lives as disabled people in Scotland.
 
10      The Motability Scheme
The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to exchange either their Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance or their War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement to obtain a new car, powered wheelchair or scooter.
